Shapeshifting

Haha...I just started a painting yesterday. It's coming along nicely.
But am I an artist? I think the answer would be a resounding no. I like to create art but it is not my livelihood. I'm a writer. Just as one would name a person who dances a dancer. We have separate name for each of the arts...though they are still lumped together. And their veritable employees are held in the same regard. So then again, maybe I am an artist. As long as my brush is allowed to be a pen...or whatever I want it to be that day.
