Writer's Block: Fellow Libras
Actually, no. I'm taking a seminar on Dracula right now.
It's the most interesting class I've ever taken.
Bram Stoker based his Count Dracula after Vlad the Impaler. It's really crazy how diluded the Dracula myth has become over the last one hundred years. The seminar I'm taking is about how the story has been adapted time and time again. We also study where Stoker found all of his ideas.
We just watched the 1958 with Christopher Lee, which has been my favorite so far.
A lot of what we know about Dracula today was actually taken from the Spanish renditions of the story.
If you haven't guessed, I'm kind of a folklore junkie :)
