( Top Ten )I've decided not to set an exact goal for my reading in 2010. I've changed my system of recording what I read to include essays and other shorter and different works, besides novels. I'm going to come up with a total number of pages read over the year.

Dear Santa... Dear Santa, This year I've been busy! In January I saved a busload of nuns in Angola (326 points). Last week I didn't flush (-1 points). In March I gave angelsrosesx a kidney (1000 points). Last month on a flight to Bangladesh, I stole the emergency flight information card (-40 points). Last Sunday I bought porn for antumbral (10 points). Overall, I've been nice (1295 points). For Christmas I deserve an XBox 360! Sincerely, alaszyel

I had a lovely Christmas. I had fairly relaxing week leading up to it when I got home from school. I baked some cookies and did some last minute shopping, but I mostly caught up on sleep. Right now my grandmother and uncle are visting, and it's really nice to spend time with them because they live far away and I only see them occasionally. I'm going to my aunt's tomorrow for New Year's Eve. It should be fun.

I got some very nice gifts for Christmas. I received a number of books, including the remaining books I lacked from the Vorkosigan saga and Audrey Niffenegger's new book. I also got jewelry, a few games, and some decorations for my dorm room. And thanks very much to sspring92 for the LJ coupon; I finally had a reason to get a paid account. Which means more userpics and other features!! 

I was so happy to see the news of the extension for the Meta Christmas event. I'm almost finished with my two stories, but one needs an ending and they both need some tweaking. Now I don't have to worry about the getting them posted tomorrow, though. I can enjoy my family and the new year celebrations. I've decided that getting the stories into final posting shape will be a New Year's Day project.

ETA: I totally forgot that I didn't renew my paid account (it's broketown over here, y'all) and so lost all my pretty icons, but I'm sooo glad all three of my Tazer ones are still around!

So I'm going to enjoy the new day and review the last year.
